Week 8

The Drive

Prompt: Gas, Swimming, Dancer, Green, Likely

My sister was a professional dancer, heading to my sisters dance recital, it was not likely we would end up going swimming.

Driving down the road in a small town on a cliff. Passing houses looked liked blur of white and blue.  Out my sister's window you would see small patches of the dark blue water through the trees bulky, bare branches. All of a sudden dad hits the gas hard and the car turns sharply off the edge of the cliff.

I flash back to all the key moments of my life remembering them all perfectly, until I come across one that isn't one of mine, not even a dream. It was from today, but not from my perspective. His hair was combed the same, he was wearing the same clothes he was when he picked us up except he was sitting at a table cards in his hand, a mug with the same yellowy-green liquid he would always drink when I was only three, Mom would always yell at him for doing this in front of me, but that would not stop him from doing it anyways. It was beer. He was a drunk. That was the last thought I ever had before we plunged into the lake and the world faded to darkness.

Week 7

Finally, the door opened and there it was, the brobdingnagian Pink Star Diamond. The light from the window above shone through the prism, creating a kaleidoscope of colours within the room. Frank knew he had to take it, but he surely would be caught as the diamond was very sparkly and bright pink which would definitely not blend in to any of the surrounding area. Sadly, there was no fire exit and the only other way out was the window above. Of course he had no rope, but luckily he was wearing his long socks. He tied his socks together to make a stinky rope. Frank tied the rope, grabbed the diamond and fled the building. When Frank got home he immediately went on E-bay to sell the stolen diamond. Frank got many offers but to his surprise they all came from the police.

Week 6

Staring down from my balcony overlooking a gigantic green meadow. I saw the silhouette of a man in the distance. When he had finally gotten close enough to the apartment, he happily shouted.
"Danny, will you marry me!"
He called my name. Pronounced it wrong, but still it was my name. Seconds later a man came rushing to his balcony, a little girl around five snuck out to take a look, she was shocked to see the lovely looking male specimen holding a sign that read; Danny, will you marry me!!!

That's when I realized he was talking to the man not me.

Week 5

Being Rocked to sleep,
By my beautiful mother.
It was slowly getting hotter,
And her singing getting softer

Lifted to safety,
being a little hasty,
To realize that I am fine.
That bad things happen all the time.

Watching from the tower,
Seeing the power.
Then it started to rain.

The flames danced bright in the night.
The fire that was once burning bright,
Is now shriveled to a slight glow.
And now I know,
That fires can only ruin peoples lives,
For a brief period of time.

Week 4

Today I woke up thinking I am just a regular person, but of course I was wrong. I am still myself, The same person I wake up as every morning. The same person who people avoid everywhere. The same person who makes children hide behind there parents because I look like a monster. I am the same, just the same ugly, depressed person I am, but later that day a few new friends helped show others that we are all the same on the inside and that I am just a normal person the same as everyone else...
Well thats what I wish would happen.
BTW,I do NOT feel this way in real life

Week 3

Prompt: Red, Hard, Mountain, Floated, Umbrella

The climb up the mountain was hard, we deserved to relax at the rest stop. Our break quickly turned to hours and it was getting dark and windy. Miranda and I made a fire to offset the falling snow, the fire was a blazing red colour beautifully burning against the night sky, whilst a lovely, little, lilac umbrella floated down from the ledge above us. A little girl came to the edge waving to us to get her umbrella for her...

"BEEP BEEP BEEP," I woke up, realizing it was all just a dream.

Week 2

Prompt: As I joined the queue

Nervously, I tripped over a step as I joined the queue with my horse beside me.
"Get ready number eleven", The announcer calls.
Thats me! I get ready by warming up my horse and watching my competition. Number ten was doing amazing! She got only 6.43 seconds with zero faults. I was going to have to beat my own record to get to the finals in Calgary, Alberta.

I cantered into the arena and I go over the first jumps easily and then my horse glides gracefully over the next jump, although I am not riding it anymore.
